BMW E34 518iSE [SOLD]

History

This has got to be one of the lowest mileage BMW E34's in the country, with only 46k from new, and this stunning example is one of the very last, facelift cars. This BMW is a 518 SE Manual finished in Calypso Red with a Grey Cloth interior. As you would expect for a car with low mileage as this, the interior and exterior are in excellent original order throughout. The bodywork on this car is in superb shape, other than a couple of tiny marks this is as good as you are likely to find. The Original BBS BMW alloys are unmarked and fitted with matching tyres all round. The interior is like new, the Grey cloth seats are in perfect condition, the Walnut trim has a nice shine, everything works as it should. Car came from the Isle of white, with full history, hence the mileage. A quick call to Snows BMW on the IOW & the computer printout to complement the stamped service book was in my possession.

Driving

The M43 engine is very smooth. The 1.8 fuel injected engine in this car is the much improved unit only fitted to the very last cars, it is chain driven so there is no cam belt to worry about and its was re-designed to have more torque and give better fuel economy. It certainly worked as this car gives plenty of smooth performance, the manual gearbox gives a very easy but precise gear change. The BMW fuel figures for this car are very impressive, (47.1 mpg at 56mph / 35.8 at 75mph / 26.9 Urban / 34.9 Average). A vast improvment over the M40. Chain driven & no distributor to worry about. Average MPG is an amazing 37!
